Kanakadhara Stotram

Kanakadhara Stotram Lyrics

Adi Sankaracharya’s Kanakadhara Stotram is the 21 mellifluous hymns on Goddess Lakshmi to alleviate Suffering and Grant Boons. Kanakadhara Stotram is a powerful Sanskrit hymn dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the Hindu Goddess of prosperity (both material and spiritual), wealth, fertility, good fortune, and courage. Goddess Mahalakshmi is the divine consort of Lord Vishnu and is believed to protect her devotees from all kinds of miseries in life and money-related sorrows. It is believed that Adi Sankaracharya composed Sri Kanakadhara Stotram in praise of Goddess Lakshmi and pray to the Goddess to shower wealth to a poor women. ‘Kanaka’ literally means “Gold” and ‘Dhara’ means “Stream”.
